It was recently pointed out to me that my rants page did not in fact contain any rants what so ever. Therefore I am hereby adding a few rants.

My first rant has to do with the various activities that have consumed my money and time and led me absolutely nowhere.

This is a method that has served me extremely well for many years now.

I call it, "THE NEXT MINUTE METHOD"

I took it from the method used by addicts to stay sober one day at a time.

Only in this method, you allow yourself one minute of total and absolute happiness.

For the next minute I want you to release all tension, all fear, all worries, all memories, all stress, all anger, all frustration, all sadness and just BE. 

You see, we are very dedicated to holding on to these negative feelings. We are as dedicated to holding on to them as an addict is to his or her addiction.

Give yourself one minute of existence without these thoughts and feelings.

Nothing bad will happen.

By giving up the control and attachment to them for one minute, the world will not stop spinning.

Do it now. For the next minute just sit there and let go of all gravity. 

I have come to a point in my life when I feel I must take a stand with regard one of the most damaging organizations I have had the not so pleasant experience of getting to know.

When my now 19 year old son was about 3 years old and I was pushing him down the street on his pushchair (stroller), he saw an old man walking towards us using a wooden walking stick. He pointed at the man and in his baby voice he said, "I used to have one of those sticks before I died."
The hairs in the back of my neck stood on end.
